Observing hair scales (metallographic analysis microscope)
Hair is a keratinized dead cell Hair is a special tissue formed by the keratinocytes of the epidermis. From the outer surface, the hair consists of hair roots and hair shafts, the part that reveals the scalp is hair shaft, and the part below the scalp is the hair root, which is wrapped in the hair follicle. The commonly known "hair" is hair dry; the hair root is located under the scalp, and the hair in the hair follicle only accounts for 10% to 15% of the weight of the whole hair. The root is connected with the structure called the hair bulb in the lower part of the hair follicle. From the outside to the inside can be divided into three layers: the outermost layer is the epidermis layer, also known as the hairy skin, is the protective layer of the hair shaft, mainly to resist the physical and chemical factors of the outside to the hair of the hair. It consists of 6~10 layers of long scaly keratinocytes, and the free edge points to the tip. Different hair types have different shapes, firmness and tension. The closer the scaly substance is to the part of the scalp, the smoother it is. On the contrary, the farther away from the scalp, the more rough and irregular it is, and the edges can be slightly lifted or broken after being subjected to various degrees of stimulation from the outside.
Observe the hair must not buy a biological microscope, the main reason is that the hair is opaque, the biological microscope is translucent, which is why the organism is to be sliced, only a thin piece of cut, light transmission is good. If you look at the hair with a biological microscope, you can only see the outline of the hair, but you can't see the scaly structure on the hair. If you are measuring the diameter of your hair, a biological microscope is possible. If you are observing the tissue structure on the hair, use Swee Crown SWG-1003UX metallographic analysis microscope, and the metallographic microscope must be reflective illumination, also known as epi-illumination.
